About Me

Thanks for visiting!  My name is Techy Manso.  I am a self taught artist and a mother of five wonderful children.

I started my artistic career back in grade school when I bumped into my first "paint by number" set.  When I finished the project, I knew that I was hooked!

I bought every oil painting lesson book I could get my hands on and after a while became really good.  Slowly I developed an affinity for landscape artistry.  Sooner than later though, life took me elsewhere and for 35 years I found myself working at a "regular" job in corporate financing.

Three years ago I became disabled.  The event seemed catastrophic.  At the time, I did not see "the whole picture" as they say.  I thought that my life was literally over......We moved to a small rural town in Central Florida where my transformation journey began.

One of the first lessons I learned was that I had spent my life searching for that master/teacher that would help me in my spiritual quest for growth.  I quickly learned that my kindred spirit had been next to me all my life!  I cannot let one more day go by without honoring my other half, who knows the true meaning of unconditional love and who treats my internal demons with nothing but kindness and reverence.  He is there to help me in every step of the way...

I still have a long road ahead of me, but I have finally come to realize that the path to my physical healing can only be ascertained by the healing of the soul.

And my soul finds happiness through creativity.....

I worked all mediums but always loved oils the best.  During the last few years I jumped around a bit.  I learned how to sew, took quilting classes so that I could create Art Quilts but became side-tracked (I have a little ADD!). I discovered Soft Cloth Dolls from a book I came across by Patti Medaris Culea.

Two years ago on a memorable week-end together with my two sisters I created my very first doll.   She is truly a One Of A Kind (OOAK)!

The rest is just history.......

Last month was very exciting as I was able to attend the Quinlan Doll and Teddy Bear Show in Philadelphia together with the Professional Dol...
